When I purchase an on-demand course from WVCLE, when do I get access to the course and its materials?
Attorneys receive immediate online access after selecting and paying for the WVCLE course when using a credit/debit card.
Does WVCLE offer CDs or DVDs of its courses?
WVCLE delivers its courses online through our learning system, LearnDash. However, should you need CDs or DVDs, please call to inquire.
When I take a course through WVCLE, does WVCLE report my course credits to the West Virginia State Bar?
WVCLE reports real-time (live) credits to the West Virginia State Bar. Allow up to 30 days for reporting of your credits.
For CLE courses completed using on-demand (A/V), CDs, DVDs, or MP3 files, the attorney must self-report credits to the West Virginia State Bar.
Can I sort WVCLE courses according to particular features such as practice area, length, real-time (live) versus on-demand (A/V), or states in which it is accredited?

Can attorneys or offices share access to an online WVCLE portal course and all receive credit for completion based on a single purchase?
No. CLE credit is available only to the attorney who registered for and completed the course through the WVCLE portal.
How do I set up a WVCLE portal account?
Accounts are created by completing a purchase. After selecting a course, filling out the billing information at checkout, and completing the purchase, accounts are automatically generated. After each completed purchase, attorneys are redirected to a Thank You page where they can access their account by proceeding to the Dashboard from the button located on the bottom of the page. Attorneys are also sent a Welcome email containing a link for logging into their newly created account, a username, and a temporary password that can be changed through the Account Details tab of their Dashboard.
Do I have to be a graduate of WVU College of Law to take courses through WVCLE?
No. Any attorney may purchase and take courses through the WVCLE portal. CLEs are available for attorneys who need credits in not only West Virginia but also Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Please note that MCLE credit rules vary by state, so please check for approval before purchasing.
How do I self-report CLE credit?
West Virginia: To self-report CLE credit for a WVCLE course completed using CDs or DVDs, log in to the West Virginia State Bar Membership Portal at https://mywvbar.org and then click on “Submit Credit” under the CLE Compliance heading. On the Submit Credit page, click the reporting period in which you wish to receive CLE credit. Select the type of credit (approved, non-approved, publication, teaching) and provide the requested information.

How do I know if a WVCLE course is approved or non-approved for WV CLE credit?
All courses provided through WVCLE are approved for WV CLE credit. The number of credit hours to be earned can be found on the course page for each.
